Jesus is coming back! Are you ready?
Although no one (not even Jesus) knows the hour or day of His return, He made it very clear that we are to be ready at all times.This blog is currently focused on encouraging people to be ready and to help others get ready.
Seasons
I believe we all go through various seasons of life. For whatever reason, God seems to have me on a 3-year cycle. If you look back though all the posts in this blog, you will see quite a change from the beginning to now. For example:-
2015-2017 — I was focused on encouraging people to reach all the unreached people groups in the world. My wife, Denise and I traveled extensively training people how to plant churches among the lost.
2018-2020 -- I was focused on encouraging pastors and their staff. My wife and I visited over 1000 churches across the US. Sadly, in most cases there wasn't anyone home when we visited. However, we did talk with 100's of pastors.
2021 -- I felt called to encourage everyone to be ready for Jesus return. I also felt called to walk across the country. So far, I have only gone 489 km.
I'm not 100% sure about 2022 yet. My usual methodology is to take steps of faith and listen for feedback from God. Then respond accordingly.

Name
For decades I went by the nickname I had in the Navy, "Bud".
However, recently I felt God tell me to research the meaning of my given name and to use it. It turns out:
Gary means spear carrier
Martin means warrior
So, my given name means spear carrying warrior!
