God hates pride!
God hates pride!
To fear the LORD is to hate evil; I hate arrogant pride, evil conduct, and perverse speech. {Proverbs 8.13}
This is why it says: “God opposes the proud, but gives grace to the humble.” {James 4.6 (BSB)}
Young men, in the same way, submit yourselves to your elders. And all of you, clothe yourselves with humility toward one another, because, “God opposes the proud, but gives grace to the humble.” {1 Peter 5.5 (BSB)}
God consistently and almost immediately disciplines me not only for prideful actions but even for prideful thoughts.
